Giacomo Corrielli obtained the Master degree in Physics Engineering in 2011 and the PhD degree in Physics in 2015 at Politecnico di Milano. He is a permanent researcher at IFN-CNR Milano since 2018, working in the FastGroup. His research activity consists in the development, by femtosecond laser micromachining, of integrated photonic devices for quantum computing, quantum communications and space-based quantum technologies. These include reconfigurable integrated photonic processors, solid-state quantum memories and integrated sources of quantum states of light. During his career, Giacomo Corrielli performed several scientific visits at prestigious international research centers such as the ICFO Institute of Photonic Sciences in Barcelona (1 year), the Ludwig Maximilien University in Munich (6 months), and the Friedrich-Schiller-University in Jena (1 month).
Giacomo Corrielli is co-author of more than 30 peer-reviewed scientific papers on high-impact international journals, 1 book chapter and more than 20 proceedings to international conferences, which resulted from the partecipation to several european projects, including the ongoing ERC Advanced Grant CAPABLE and Fet-Open project PHOQUSING.
