Workshop on Adaptive Optics for Industry and Medicine (AOIM) – March ’24

The International Workshop on Adaptive Optics for Industry and Medicine (AOIM) offers an exceptional platform and gathering point for both industry professionals and academics, including scientists and engineers. Its purpose is to delve into recent advancements, prevailing practices, and prospective directions in the realm of adaptive optics and related domains. This event is scheduled to take place from March 12th to 15th, 2024, in the charming city of Padova, Italy.A distinguishing characteristic of this single-session meeting is the relaxed ambiance, actively encouraging participants to present and discuss their work either through oral presentations or poster exhibitions. This gathering in Padova will carry on the tradition of previous meetings, which were held in Delft (2019), Murcia(2018), Padova (2015), Cape Town (2013), Murcia (2011), Shatura (2009), and Galway (2007).In the workshop format, all attendees are invited to submit an abstract for consideration as either an oral presentation or a poster display. The deadline for abstract submissions is January 31st, 2024.The organization of this workshop is led by our Institute (Padova branch), which is affiliated with the Italian National Research Council. The conference will take place at the Padova City Hall, situated in the historic heart of the city. Padova is a picturesque city known for its intricate network of arcaded streets that open onto spacious communal squares. It boasts a rich cultural heritage, with historical figures like Giotto, Donatello, and Canova associated with it. Furthermore, Padova is home to the world’s first Botanic Garden, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Located in northern Italy, in close proximity to the captivating city of Venice, Padova offers a diverse range of attractions, from its historic monuments to sandy beaches, nature reserves, and mountains, ensuring a wealth of cultural and recreational experiences for visitors.
