Ettore CARPENE

PEOPLE

Ettore Carpene graduated in Physics at University of Padova (IT) in 1996, he obtained the Master of Science at the Old Dominion University (Virginia, USA) in 1999 and the PhD in Physics at the II Physikalisches Institut, University of Goettingen (DE) in 2002. Researcher of the INFM from 2004 to 2009, he joined the IFN in 2009. His scientific activity involves femtosecond time-resolved spectroscopies on magnetic and strongly correlated systems, in particular time-resolved Magneto-Optical Kerr Effect (trMOKE) and time- and Angle-Resolved PhotoEmission Spectroscopy (trARPES) on traditional and chiral magnetic materials, topological insulators, systems displaying charge density wave and metal-insulator phase transitions.
