Lorenzo Cocola completed the laurea specialistica in Telecommunications Engineering in 2008 at Università degli Studi di Padova with a thesis on tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy for oxygen detection. He obtained his Ph. D. in 2012 on Sciences, Technologies and Measurements for Space at CISAS, Università degli Studi di Padova with a thesis on tunable laser diode spectroscopy. His research was done mainly at CNR Institute of Photonics and Nanotechnologies, Padova with a period as a visiting student at the Department of Atomic Physics of Lund Universitet, Sweden. His current job as a research scientist at CNR Institute of Photonics and Nanotechnologies, Padova is done mainly on the design and manufacturing of laser instrument prototypes for infrared and Raman spectroscopic detection, optical and gas-related measurements.
