Open position: research scholarship

Marzo 26, 2024

A Post-Graduate Scholarship is available at IFN-CNR (Milan unit) on the project “BISTROT –BIfacial SpecTRal splitting Optical concentrator for 4-Terminal photovoltaics”.

The activity contributes to a Proof-of-Concept project, to validate experimentally novel geometries of spectral-splitting optical concentrators for bifacial photovoltaics modules. It focuses on the design of spectral splitting optics for photovoltaic modules, using commercial ray-tracing software. Evaluation of energy conversion performance in 4-terminal configuration using two different solar cell systems. Contribution to issue an economic analysis of the designed solution under possible conditions of use.

The activity will be performed at the Institute for Photonics and Nanotechnology (IFN), unit of Milano, National Research Council (CNR), Piazza Leonardo da Vinci, 32, Italy (supervisor: Dr. Silvia Maria Pietralunga).

The position is limited to 9 months, and it is offered within the framework of the project  PoC 2022 – PNRR  M1, C2, I6 del MIMIT-UIBM  ( EU financing Next Generation EU plan) . Further information can be found on our website:
