PEOPLE

Cinzia Di Franco(Degree in Chemistry,1999) received the PhD degree in Molecular and Chemical Science studying molecular interaction and dynamics of the high specific recognition process of antigen and antibody on large biomodified interface via a multiscale analysis approach.  She also focused her activity in developing new single molecule biosensors for diagnostic and food application.

Since 2008 she is Staff Researcher at Italian National Research Council – Institute for Photonics and Nanotechnologies, Bari Division, Italy (CNR-IFN). The research interests are in the fields of analytical chemistry, chem- and bio-sensors, surface microscopies, functional surfaces and nanomaterials for life sciences. She has been involved in 4 EU project (6th and 7th FP, Horizon 2020), several Italian Projects and 3 Apulian Region funded projects. She has co-authored over 80 papers on international peer reviewed journals, books, and conference proceedings (https://www.scopus.com/authid/detail.uri?authorId=6602945524)).

She is co-author of more than 70 conference communications (>40 were invited/keynote lectures) and is also co-inventor of 1 patent.

Since October 2022, she is the Responsible of CNR-IFN, Bari division.
