Fabio Frassetto received the Laurea (University degree) in Physics in 2002 from University of Padova and the Ph.D. in “scienze e tecnologie spaziali” (space science and technologies) in 2006 from the University of Padova.
Since December 2018 he is a staff researcher at the Institute for Photonics and Nanotechnology of the Italian National Research Council (IFN – CNR).
His research activity is focused on the development of instrumentation for two different application areas:
- instrumentation for ultrafast optics (monochromators, spectrometers, compressors);
- optics for space applications.
He is Editorial Board Member of MDPI-Photonics journal and is/has been Special Issue Editor of :
- “XUV and X-ray Free-Electron Lasers and Applications“, a special issue of Photonics (ISSN 2304-6732).
- “Ultrafast Optics: Trends and Prospects”, a special issue of Applied Sciences (ISSN 2076-3417).
This special issue belongs to the section “Optics and Lasers“. Now closed.
