Annamaria Gerardino is a senior researcher at CNR Institute for Photonics and Nanotechnologies (http://orcid.org/0000-0003-1869-1092, H index ISI WoS: 29). Her expertise is mainly in micro and nanofabrication, in particular electron beam lithography and thin film processes. Main research interests are in photonic devices (photonic crystals, integrated waveguides, etc), smart biochip for cell co-culturing, plasmonic devices, nanostructuring of magnetic materials, development of photonic sensor for multimodal spectroscopy for food quality and contamination detection. She is coauthor of more than 150 papers, peer reviewed. She is in the International Program Committee of MNE Conference (since 2008), Nanop (Nanophotonics and Micro/Nano Optics International) Conference and EUROSENSOR (since 2016). She is cofounder of CNR Tech4Bio group (http://www.tech4biolab.eu/).
She has been the responsible of CNR unit for several EU projects. Recently, she has been Scientific Responsible of the CNR unit and Scientific Manager for the H2020 project PhasmaFOOD (contract n. 732541) on the use of multimodal spectroscopy in food safety and quality (http://phasmafood.eu). She is the coordinator of the project “Sviluppo di un dispositivo portatile integrato per la valutazione spettroscopica multimodale non invasive della qualità di materie prime alimentari” – SPECTRAFOOD -numero A0375-2020-36643; POR FESR LAZIO 2014-2020, AVVISO PUBBLICO “GRUPPI DI RICERCA 2020, April 2021-October 2023.
